March Spring Open Weekend At Wild Spirit Woods!
Come take a look around, see the first signs of spring, do some gardening, come to a crafty garden workshop. Pop in and say hello!
Dear Wildwood Spirited Ones
Hello and happy first day of Spring! Welcome to the third edition of our Wild Spirit Woods AST CIC newsletter.
Well it might have seemed quiet but there’s things been going on in the background. We’ve been out collecting donations of items for the site. We’ve drawn up a calendar for the year including open weekends with free and low cost activities. We’ve been on site too, as well as making new connections.
March Open Weekend At Wild Spirit Woods!
We will be at the woods so come and say hello and see the first signs of spring.
Saturday 29th March
1pm – 3.30pm for our early spring open Saturday.
You can just drop in and take a walk around.
Waggy Welcome - bring your furry friends. Free drinks and biscuits for members and their furry friends.
Take part in gardening and conservation activities. We will be weeding and sowing seeds mainly. Refreshments will be laid on for volunteers.
Sunday 30th March
1pm – 3.30pm for our early spring open Sunday.
You can just drop in and take a walk around.
Waggy Welcome - bring your furry friends. Free drinks and biscuits for members and their furry friends.
There’s also a Crafty Garden Workshop (£5) too.

Our open weekends will be held throughout the year with a variety of activities on offer.
The Crafty Garden Workshop
Make an eco-friendly garden ornament. Also learn skills you can use at home to reuse and upcycle old garden furniture and ornaments while helping us create nice things for the site.
Sunday 30th March 2025 1pm - 3.30pm - Crafty Garden Workshop £5 including refreshments.
Learn new skills. Transform trash into treasure. Take home a garden decoration made with natural materials.
· Reuse and repurpose old scrap and garden items
· Help us upcycle a collection of furniture and garden ornaments for the site
· Learn skills you can use at home on your own items
· Make a garden ornament using eco-friendly natural materials
· Hot drinks and homemade cake provided
· Fire in the tipi to keep us warm

Other things to look forward to this year : Cacao Comfort and Care Club, Bear Town Community Campfire Nights, Bears’ Den Wildcraft (Adventures For Anxious People and all those who just want a more laid back experience out in nature learning some wildcraft skills), Woodland Soul Sound Baths, Forest Bathing, Plus more to come including a couple of weekend retreats.
Small Special Needs Special Family Camp for neurospicy kids and their families. A welcoming understanding safe space to stay and play in nature with expert support and nature, gardening and art activities provided.
Free Community member events Waggy Welcome, tea and chats.

Nature Connection Tip
The earth is still bare, but here and there, splashes of colour from magical golden pollen filled grail crocuses, mystical violets, acid yellow daffodils and emerald green moss.
What colours can you see? Do they have a smell?
