April Spring Open Weekend At Wild Spirit Woods!
Enjoy the sun, eat cake, do some Dragon Spotting, Forest Bathing and Woodland Soul Sound Bath out in the woods!

Well it looks like its’ going to be another lovely weekend for our next open weekend! (Sorry this is a bit late notice!)
Meanwhile our March one went really well welcoming new friends, doing up some garden items and appreciating the first signs of spring…









This is being sent out later than intended. Come and say hello. You’re welcome to bring your fur babies though on leads as we have possible ground nesting birds in the meadow.
The good weather seems set to continue and what’s nicer than tea and cake in the woods? The daffodils are out and you can see the trees starting to wake up. Come and join us. :-)
April 13 - 13th Open Weekend with free drop in activities both days
Both Days - Plant stall and bring n buy seed swap, gift stall, bake sale come and get yourself a pice of cake and a drink! All in aid of the woods.
Saturday 12th April
12pm – 3.30pm
You can just drop in and take a walk around
Dragon spotting trail and who knows, maybe a small sweet treat at the end. Because who doesn’t love a dragon? (Here is my Dragon Facebook group if you’d like to join. All dragons in Britain welcome. We find a very surprising amount in churches).
Meet Sparky-the-Dragon (who is gentle & chill) and his friend Squawky-The-Parrot (who is bouncy & full of mischief)
Waggy Welcome - bring your furry friends. Free drinks and biscuits for members and their furry friends.
Volunteers welcome for gardening and conservation activities, weeding and sowing seeds mainly. Refreshments will be laid on for volunteers.

Forest Bathing mindfulness befriending nature - 12pm
Tree Songs Soul Full Sound Bath - Willow A sound journey in honour of the gentle Willow Tree 2.30 pm

All the activities are free but donations very much appreciated for the woods.
If you have never done forest bathing or a sound bath before then now is the perfect time to come along and try them out! A perfect way to relax in nature with time to sit out or go for a walk in betwen or even sit and eat cake. Yum.

Friday Evening - Bears’ Den Wildcraft (Adventures For Anxious People and all those who just want a more laid back experience out in nature learning some wildcraft skills. Saturday - Maypole and dancing (come and have a go with us, it should be fun), a visit from Owd Bear, music, gardening, conservation & The Big Balsam Bash, Bear Town Community Campfire Night, Sunday - Forest Bathing, Woodland Soul Sound Bath.
There will be the option to stay overnight. We have Very Limited temporary camp space. Funds raised for the woods.
June 13th - 15th June - Midsummer Magic

Family Camp Days for Neurospicy Kids & their Families
‘Special Needs Special Family Camp Days for neurospicy kids and their families. A welcoming understanding safe space to stay and play in nature with expert support and nature and arts activities provided. Plus camp days coming up for Neurospicy young people 14 to 21.
You will be supported by Simon and Amanda who both have very many years of experience in Special Educational Needs. Amanda is a fully qualified artist, forest guide and special needs teacher and is late diagnosed AuDHD. She has a grown up transgender kiddo who is also autistic. Simon has a school age autistic son with learning needs. He has many years as a photographer, mentor and musician as well as being a forest guide.’ Dates coming soon.
